Importing Sketches

To import an image, first make sure the it is in .png or .jpg file format. Once the image is in one of these formats, go to the Gravity Sketch folder on your computer and drop it inside the Reference Images folder where you will already find 3 example images.

Open Gravity Sketch and you will be able to find your images by going in Reference Images in the Menu. Note: In the Reference Images window, you will see a folder icon. If clicked it will open the folder where the images are found. This is a shortcut to get to the folder.

Importing 3D Models

At the moment, Gravity Sketch only allows OBJ files (for 3D models) to be imported in the program. Therefore, make sure that the object you wish to import is in .obj file format. Once you have your OBJ file, go to the Gravity Sketch folder on your computer and drop it inside the Import Library folder where you will already find 3 example files (Hand, Motor & shoe_last). Note: as you will be able to see inside the folder, every obj file should have it’s seperate folder.

Now you can open Gravity Sketch. You will be able to find your 3D models by going in Prefabs in the Menu. In the Prefabs window, click on the Import OBJ Files button to access all the 3D models you imported previously. Note: In the Imported OBJ files window, you will see a folder icon. If clicked it will open the folder where the images are found. This is a shortcut to get to the folder.
